Preparations for Sixth Annual Ephrata Dodgeball Tournament Underway

Preparations have begun for the sixth annual Ephrata Dodgeball Tournament. This year's tournament will once again be sponsored by www.ephratamounts.com and the Ephrata Basketball Booster Club.

The tournament dates have been set for November 20th and the 21st. Due to changes in gym availability, there will be no adult tournament this year.

There will once again be three divisions, Elementary (4th and 5th only), Middle School (6th through 8th), and High School (9th through 12th).

Now available for download are entry forms and rules. In about a week, entry forms should be available from Mr. Geyer (High School) and Mr. Sweigart (Middle/Intermediate School).

2008 Tournament wrap up

It's a wrap! This past weekend four more champions were crowned. The great news is that over $13,000 was raised! We have now raised over $50,000 for Juvenile Diabetes. The student body came through again, with 10 out of 35 Scholastic teams raising more then double the minimum entrance fee. Congratulations to all teams!

A sneak peak at the champions reveals that The Justice League claimed their first Junior Circuit Championship, while the Playground Legends earned their second Senior Circuit Championship and third overall. In the Rookie Circuit Balls of Fury took the championship.

The Justice League (7-0), was the only team to finish the tournament undefeated. They finished with a near-perfect (7-0, 14-1) record, dropping a game in the finals to the Best of the West.

Schedules now ready for download

Pool play times are now available! There are mandatory meeting times for all circuits on the schedule. All matches will be played at the Ephrata Senior High School.

Once again all teams playing in the pools on Friday night and Saturday, will be seeded and advance to the single elimination tournament.

2008 Registration deadline arrives

Today's is the registration deadline. All registration forms must be handed in by the end of the day.

Due to the cost of supplies and in fairness to other teams, monies collected after today but before the start of the tournment will count toward the amount raised for JDRF bands and tournament t-shirts. Monies turned in after the due date will NOT count toward the earning of a beanie or toward the overall amount raised in competition for any other prizes.

You can turn paperwork into Mr. Geyer at the High School, Mr. Sweigart at the Middle School or the paperwork can be delivered to my house.

Schedules will appear by Wednesday November 12th at the latest. 

5th Annual Ephrata Dodgeball Tournament now Ready

The Ephrata Basketball Booster club and www.ephratamounts.com have teamed up once again by sponsoring the fifth annual dodgeball tournament to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

The tournament will be held November 14th through the 16th at the Ephrata Senior High School. Team schedules will be announced here no later then Wednesday November 12th. Deadline for registrants is October 28th. If you are in any of the "scholastic" leagues, you can count on playing Friday night and finishing on Saturday. Sunday November 16th is reserved for the Adult bracket.

You will have to turn in a parent signed waiver form if you are under the age of 18. These waiver forms can be picked up from Mr. Geyer (Ephrata High School), Mr. Sweigart (Ephrata Middle School). The are also available on this website under the "downloads" tab. If you are in the Elementary bracket, or Adult Bracket, information about where to return your registration is included with the waiver form. Adult participants must be over 16, and require a guardian signature if under 18.

If you don't care about the tournament, please consider sponsoring someone that is in the tournament. All paypal donations to this site between September 16th and November 16th, will be earmarked for the fifth annual Ephrata tournament.

Preparations have begun for the fifth annual Ephrata Dodgeball Tournament. This year's tournament will once again be sponsored by www.ephratamounts.com and the Ephrata Basketball Booster Club.

The tournament dates have been set for November 14th through the 16th. The tournament will follow the same guidelines as in the past, with Friday the 14th and Saturday the 15th reserved for student play, with the 16th being reserved for an adult only tournament.

In about a week or two we should have entry forms and rules to download.

2007 Tournament Breaks another record

It's a wrap! This past weekend four more champions were crowned. Including three undefeated squads. The great news is that over $18,000 was raised! The student body came through again, with 13 out of 32 Scholastic teams raising more then double the minimum entrance fee. All four of the Rookie League competitors raised more then double the minimum! Congratulations to all teams!

A sneak peak at the champions reveals that The Natural Disasters claimed their first Junior Circuit Championship, while the Dodgers earned their second Senior Circuit Championship, team Clockwork won the Adult Bracket. In the Rookie Circuit The Cavemen took the championship.

The Natural Disasters (8-0), The Dodgers (7-0), and Clockwork (7-0) all finished the tournament undefeated, while even more impressively the Dodgers did it without dropping a single game. They finished with a perfect (7-0, 14-0) record for the tournament.
